
Bill Kawczynski

As an intelligence analyst in the U.S. Marine Corps, Bill Kawczynski monitored military and geopolitical situations for more than 50 countries and served as a liaison to numerous foreign military organizations, services and staff sessions. Today, he helps military-affiliated students navigate the challenges of transitioning from the military to college. By working with campus partners, he has expanded the level of support services UNCW provides to military-affiliated students.

Camden Ege

Camden is the current Vice President of the National Association of Veterans Program Administrators (NAVPA) and he previously served as Director of the Maine State Approving Agency, where he was responsible for implementing federal legislation such as the Colmery Act and Isakson and Roe Act, ensuring educational institutions met compliance standards for VA benefits.
A U.S. Air Force veteran, Camden’s commitment to military-affiliated students extends beyond his professional roles. He is actively involved in several national veteran service organizations, including the Forty and Eight, Team Red, White & Blue, and Team River Runner, where he helps foster connection, resilience, and leadership within the veteran community.

Alex Jarvis

Alex joined the Office of Military Affairs in April 2025, moving into this role after serving as a Student Success Advisor within the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) at UNCW. Previously, Alex worked at West Virginia University in a variety of roles, from student worker to Program Specialist/Certifying Official in the Center for Veteran, Military and Family Programs office.
Upon graduating high school, Alex delayed his college education one year to enlist in and complete military training for the West Virginia Air National Guard where he departed service after seven years as a Staff Sergeant having last served as the Communications Specialist for HQ WV Air National Guard. While serving Alex also attended WVU where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Journalism – Strategic Communications and earned a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration.

Moment Palmer

Moment is a native Wilmingtonian who has lived all over North Carolina and most recently, Washington, DC where she attended Georgetown University for graduate school courses. She earned her bachelor's degree in Communications Studies with a concentration in Public Relations and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and wrote for The Charlotte Observer and its magazine department for almost a decade. Since 2021, she has served as the OMA's Administrative Associate, helping to make sure students are in touch with campus and community resources, planning events, and making sure the day-to-day operations of the office run smoothly.
