A Study Abroad Program for UNCW First-Year Spring Admit Students
Spend your first semester abroad in Maynooth, Ireland! As a First-Year Spring Admit (FYSA) student at UNCW, you have the unique opportunity to earn academic credits during the fall semester abroad that will count toward your graduation requirements.
Not only that, but you'll also make friends with fellow FYSA Seahawks, discover a new culture, and explore the United Kingdom and beyond!
- Location: Maynooth, County Kildare, Ireland
- Program Dates: September 17, 2025*- December 19, 2025
- Online Orientation Dates: TBD (links to join will be emailed to you prior to these online orientation sessions)
*Leave U.S. September 16 to arrive in Wales by mid-morning of September 17. The official student orientation starts in Bangor on September 18. Students will fly into Manchester Airport (England) and transportation to the university will be provided.
**Students can depart to return home anytime starting December 20.
**Students must submit an application by June 15. Applications can be started here once the student has confirmed their enrollment to UNCW's Office of Admissions. Please be sure to use your UNCW email and password.
**Enrollment for this program will be on a first-come, first-served basis. The FYSA in the UK program has the capacity to accept 50 students.
