Secondary Admissions Processes & Timelines

Our Schools

The following undergraduate degree programs within the College of Health and Human Services have additional requirements for admission in addition to the general UNC Wilmington admission requirements. 

Please review the secondary admission processes and timelines for the following programs below.

  • Application requirements include
    • 3.0 cumulative GPA
    • Bs or better in all prerequisite classes
    • TEAS score
    • Video statement
    • Resume/CV
  • Application opens typically around December 1
  • Application deadline typically January 6
  • Admits once a year to start in early May
  • Must be accepted to UNCW prior to applying to the program

  • Application requirements include
    • 2.7 cumulative GPA
    • The minimum five prerequisites
    • TEAS score
    • Video statement
  • Admits twice a year, once to start in January and once to start in August
  • Applications open on June 1 (for spring) and November 15 (for fall)
  • Application deadlines typically July 1 (for spring) and December 15 (for fall)
  • Must be accepted to UNCW prior to applying to the program

  • Application requirements include
    • 2.5 cumulative GPA
    • 45 completed hours
    • Completion of prerequisite courses
    • An essay
    • An interview
  • Admits twice a year, once to start in January and once to start in August
  • Application stays open year round
  • Priority application deadlines of September 15 (for spring) and February 15 (for fall)

    • Completion of prerequisites

  • Application opens November 1
  • Priority application deadline typically in early December and secondary deadline at end of February
  • Admits once a year to start in August
  • Must be accepted to UNCW prior to applying to the program

    • 45 credit hours completed
    • Completed prerequisite courses
  • Application opens December 1
  • Deadline of March 1 for current UNCW students and April 30 for new transfer students
  • Admits once a year for an August start
